D.64-216.7 – Mentally, spiritually, and in so many other ways, yesterday was an awesome day! Exhausting, but awesome. I could have reported a weight gain today and still have been happy, but instead I’m back in the 216s! Sometimes good things come in waves, so I’m going to continue riding this high to make today even better! (Down 15 pounds)

D.63-217.2 – I ate relatively lightly and worked out my upper body today, so I am quite proud. The soreness in my upper body started to subside just in time for another round of upper body reps to renew the soreness. I am actually getting quite excited about all of this renewed focus on my health. I’m hoping this is the start of a self-reinforcing ecosystem of positive feedback and I have so many of you to be thankful for it! 🙂 (Down 14.5 pounds)

D.62-217.4 – Inching back down a little after my weekend of indulgence. I had every intention of working out yesterday evening because I’m riding this high of excitement for working towards my goals, however my upper body was still quite sore from Monday’s workout and figured it would be best to give it a rest. (Down 14.3 pounds)

D.61-217.7 – I am proudly typing this with sore arms, but also a little dejected by the weight gain. I knew this would be a tough weekend on me, but as with everything, mistakes and set-backs are there to provide you with a learning experience. There were some good things and I’ll focus on those to carry me through the day. Yesterday I had my first 1-hour session with my personal trainer and I am definitely feeling it today. I am excited to see what kind of results I’ll be seeing! (Down 14.0 pounds)

D.60-217.5 – I have gained a little, but I’ve been enjoying my foodie staycation. I do not advocate the indulging in yummy foods for an entire weekend, but given how much I love food I also don’t regret it. I felt some redemption from this guilt yesterday by running/hiking 10.34 miles to the Hollywood Sign. This coming week, I am committed to diversifying my exercise routines and will focus on upper body: so I should more to report on this as well. 🙂 (Down 14.2 pounds)

D.59-217.1 – A late post, but I headed out for a run/hike this morning. I’ve been inching up, but it’s not surprising given my meals this weekend. I need to get more workouts in to compensate. Since I’m not traveling anywhere for the weekend, I’m enjoying a staycation involving the exploration of restaurants. 🙂 (Down 14.6 pounds)

D.58-216.9 – It was a leisure day of bad food choices, but I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with family and spending time with my good friend from Portland. I wasn’t happy with the jump in weight this morning, but it was not unexpected considering my 2am meal. The worst part is that I didn’t go running this morning, but I have all weekend to make it up. Speaking of the weekend, this will be a tough one because of some delicious dinners on the calendar, but I will survive! (Down 14.8 pounds)

D.57-216.4 – The food choices yesterday weren’t too bad, but the drinks last night I’m sure had a ton of calories. Thankfully they didn’t seem to have affect my weigh-in too much this morning. In terms of exercising, we talked and worked on a plan yesterday and that will be starting up next week. (Down 15.3 pounds)

D.56-216.7 – So this is where I should have been at the end of April, but I’m glad I reached this eventually. Obviously my goal for loosing an additional 15 pounds during May will not be happening, but having that goal has kept me at least moving in the right direction. (Down 15.0 pounds)

D.55-217.1 – I’ve now broken through my lower weigh-in of the last couple of months. 217.5 was the lowest I had gone down to before I went on my little rollercoaster the firstseveral weeks of this month. 216 is the lowest I’ve weighed since late middle school, I’m tempted to say. 212 is the lowest I’ve seen on a scale but that was within an hour of running a full marathon where I was famished and parched so I’ve considered that an outlier. Beyond 216 will be unchartered waters for me on this journey! (Down 14.6 pounds)
