We were waiting in the drive-thru line at In-N-Out (about 30 cars long), and in the parking lot, I saw this really old looking truck that looked like it was made in the 40s. In the back of the truck sitting on the deck lid, were a kid (couldn’t have been older than 10) and his dad: eating their burgers and fries with the night sky overhead. It was a beautiful scene that brought a smile to me. Under normal circumstances, they’d probably be eating at the restaurant, but instead, they’re making the best of these coronavirus lockdowns and eating their meal on the back of their pickup-truck instead. I was tempted to take a picture, opted not to so as not to risk disturbing their moment.
