This phrase from Game of Thrones is so overused, but I couldn’t help but think of those words in my head. We’ve had some hot days these last few weeks, as is usual this time of year. There’s always this one last push of heat before the weather starts to cool. Over the next couple of days, we will go from highs of near 100 to lows of below 40—quite a precipitous drop for most places, but especially for Los Angeles. Tomorrow there will be some all-day gloomy weather–which I love–, and there’s a strong chance of rain to sweeten the deal.

Today a proposal I’m working on and visiting my mom for her birthday have left me pressed for time, so I will keep it short today. Hopefully, tomorrow I will write something more at length since the weather will be perfect for writing.
