I was invited to learn about an internship opportunity with United Airlines at their headquarters in what was formerly Sears Tower in Chicago. I packed some warm clothes and boarded a red-eye to Chicago. Despite my love of cold and being dressed “warmly”, the cold was the most bitter cold I’ve ever felt. I made it to my hotel before sunrise and dropped off my luggage and got my camera and went back outside to walk around in the predawn hours through empty streets. I was only able to explore for about a half hour or so before the numbing cold and the desire for an extra nap got the better of me.
I have once again started this post way too late, but I feel inspired to write a little travel post about my little adventures in the deep cold of a Chicago Winter.
