We were back at my favorite Korean restaurant, the one with the Korean ladies prepping veggies at a corner table. During a previous dinner at this restaurant, we meant to order a broiled fish and accidentally ordered this boiled one. We were surprised when this dish, clearly not a broiled fish, was brought out. One of the Korean ladies quickly pointed out our mistake with the menu. We ended up loving the flavor of the hard-boiled mackerel. So this week, we decided to order this dish again–this time intentionally. The Korean lady that usually takes the order looked confused and said, “last time you said you didn’t want.” I told her last week was a mistake, but we ended up loving it. A lovely smile appeared on her face as she went to place our order.
