365: Day 335 – Fading panemic

334
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the end of the pandemic. For months now, I have been contemplating what the end may look like. It’s becoming clear that this pandemic will not have any grande finale, but instead, it will fizzle out. It will be much like a wildfire where we can quickly tell when it begins as things rapidly catch on fire and spread, but no one ever sees the end of it. We reach a point where the fire is declared “contained,” but no one ever knows when the embers fade away. There are signs everywhere that the pandemic is started to go away, but it will probably be years before it becomes a distant memory.
